ICLR award for Cristian Meo (SPS)

The paper "Masked Generative Priors Improve World Models Sequence Modelling Capabilities" -https://lnkd.in/d6MbVTEa, was awarded the Outstanding Paper Award at the World Models: Understanding, Modelling & Scaling Workshop at ICLR 2025. The first author is Cristian Meo, a PhD student of Justin Dauwels.
ICLR is one of the top-3 machine learning conferences.
(The compute resources needed to generate the results in this paper were provided by a grant for the Snellius national supercomputer, amounting to over 50 kE.)

Charlote Frenkel and Kofi Makinwa involved in major NWO grants under the KIC programme line Strategy
The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has awarded funding under the Knowledge and Innovation Covenant (KIC) to two consortia for a long-term programme (LTP) involving researchers from TU Delft. Kofi Makinwa (EWI) and Charlotte Frenkel (EWI) are co-applicants in the awarded project '10X-Factor(y)'.
Best student paper award for Mareike Wendelmuth (MS3)
Mareike Wendelmuth (MS3 group) won the First Prize in the Best Student Paper Awards at the IEEE IMBIOC 2026 conference for her paper entitled “Breathing rate estimation from data fusion of multiple elevated and tilted FMCW radars”.
