Biography
Dr. İlke Ercan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microelectronics and the chair of the Electrical Engineering Education section at faculty EEMCS. Ilke received Education Fellowship in 2023 to pursue the topic Bridging Gaps in the Electrical Engineering Education.
She received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UMass Amherst in 2014 and has extensive interdisciplinary and international academic experience. Dr. Ercan’s work emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, inclusivity, and outreach, inspiring a new generation of scientists and engineers. She received the 2024 Delft Women in Science (DEWIS) Award for her contributions to fostering gender diversity and equity in academia.
