Expertise: Material characterization & processing, surface engineering & functional coatings, mechanical & chemical property identification techniques, electron microscopy, coating deposition techniques, cellular biology evaluation.

Taraneh Mokabber is a Materials Scientist with a PhD from the University of Groningen. Her research expertise focuses on advanced materials characterization, surface engineering, functional coatings, and process improvment.

She has extensive experience with electron microscopy and analytical techniques, including SEM, TEM, XRD, and advanced characterization methods. Her work has involved the development and characterization of bioactive and antimicrobial coatings, investigation of structure–property relationships in materials, and multidisciplinary research combining materials science with electro-mechanical systems.

Before joining TU Delft, Taraneh worked as a Research Technician at the University of Groningen, where she contributed to research projects, laboratory development, and the supervision of BSc, MSc, and PhD students. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in the fields of coatings, biomaterials, and surface engineering.
