MSc J. P. Pizani

Expertise: Linux server administration, Python, C/C++

João is a Linux system administrator at the Department of Microelectronics of TU Delft since April 2026.

His background is in computer science, with a bachelor B.Sc from Brazil (UFSC) and M.Sc and Ph.D from Utrecht University. Besides academia, he has worked before with compiler development and also as scientific programmer in other departments of TU Delft. In these previous experiences, the Linux configuration and administration aspect of the work was always present and done with great interest.

Outside of work, João is passionate about open source, open culture and digital privacy rights. He enjoys classical music AND heavy metal, swimming, british humor, and reading non-fiction (mostly history). Always open for a nice conversation and helping anyone who wants to start using Linux!
